MEASLES OUTBREAK
Dear Parents,
We have been made aware this afternoon (by patients) that a mass text has been sent by NHS England to all parents and guardians of children.
It states that your child MAY NOT be up to date with their MMR vaccine.
We were not made aware that this text was being sent and are receiving a lot of calls from naturally worried parents and guardians.
If you receive this text message please can you check your child’s RED BOOK before phoning us. That should contain details of all vaccine your child has had.
There is no need to call us if your child has had two doses of MMR vaccine as they will be protected.
If however they have not had two doses please do call us to arrange an appointment so we can administer the appropriate dose(s) in order to protect your child.
