Get the Flu Vaccination, not Flu!

Influenza vaccinations are important because the flu virus, and the complications associated with the illness, such as bronchitis and pneumonia, can be serious and sometimes even fatal.

Flu can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.

Each winter in the UK, thousands of children who do not have a health condition need hospital care because of flu. Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who’s pregnant and older people.

You are at highest risk of contracting the virus during autumn / winter months, where the flu virus starts to circulate and typically peaks in December / January. Therefore, we would strongly advise you have your vaccination as soon as possible, by the end of October.

You may not be aware, that the funding received from providing flu vaccinations is important to help running the practice, and we order your vaccine one year in advance. We would therefore be very grateful that you come to the practice for your vaccination rather than alternative providers, such as pharmacies.

How to book for your Flu Vaccination

You can book your flu vaccination at the Practice by using any of the following:

We strongly encourage those who can do so to book via NHS App. This allows telephone access to be available for those patients who may not have access to internet-enabled devices.
