Get the Flu Vaccination, not Flu!

Influenza vaccinations are important because the flu virus, and the complications associated with the illness, such as bronchitis and pneumonia, can be serious and sometimes even fatal.

Flu can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.

Each winter in the UK, thousands of children who do not have a health condition need hospital care because of flu.

Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who’s pregnant and older people.

You may not be aware, that the funding received from providing flu vaccinations is important to help running the practice, and we order your vaccine one year in advance. We would therefore be very grateful that you come to the practice for your vaccination rather than alternative providers, such as pharmacies.
