We are always keen to look a ways to improve services for our patients, and to help us understand patient perceptions and expectations
Patient Forum (PPG)
Since its formation in 2008 the Patient Forum, or Patient Participation Group (PPG), has been very proactive conducting practice patient questionnaires, organising health promotion events and advising the practice on various matters regarding premises development and service. This group of patients meets every 6-8 weeks and has been influential in shaping the development of the practice, from premises improvements, operational policy changes and health promotion.
The Patient Forum is an independent group of patient volunteers who work with the practice and the behalf of patients to:
- Contribute to the development and planning of new services
- Contribute to the review of existing services
- Advise on premises development plans
- Conduct surveys with patients
- Organise health promotion events in partnership with the practice
The Patient Forum is not for making complaints and sending medical queries, which should be sent to the practice management or clinical team.
For more information please email the Practice at [email protected]
‘Virtual’ Patient Reference Group (PRG)
In 2010, in acknowledgement that many patients were unable to attend a face-to-face Patient Forum meeting, we agreed to set ‘virtual’ patient reference group (PRG). The PRG is formed from patients who have signed up to receive ad hoc emails from the practice or Patient Forum whereby we receive the views and ideas from a wider demographic group.
If you would like to part of the virtual PRG please complete our sign up form here – we promise that we will only contact you a few times a year, and we keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.
