Marple Cottage Surgery is situated on the outskirts of Stockport, and near to the border of the Peak District. We have three full time GPs, a nurse clinician and a practice nurse, who share a commitment to high-quality, personal primary health care for our 6,000 patients. We have special interests in diabetes, asthma, heart and other cardiovascular disease, women's health, dermatology, minor surgery and sports injury/medicine.

The nurses have responsibility for health screening and prevention, including asthma, diabetes, heart disease, childhood immunisation and running our in-house weekly anticoagulation clinics.

As a training practice we work with GP registrars and nurse trainees and also take part in the teaching of medical students from Manchester Medical School.

Attached staff include health visitors, district nurses, and midwives hold antenatal clinics at the surgery.

We have a highly-skilled non-clinical element to the practice team ensuring that all aspects integral to our service such as patient records and the day-to-day function of the Practice are managed professionally.

We are a national award winning practice, recognised for our commitment and achievements utilising information technologies as a tool to improve clinical standards and services. We are keen to promote our on-line services such as on-line appointment booking and repeat prescription requests.
