Health visitors are qualified general nurses with midwifery experience and have received further intensive training to enable her to promote good health, prevent disease and detect health problems. They are concerned with all aspects of health, physical, social, environmental and emotional.
A health visitor will visit you at home following the birth of a baby and will give advice on all aspects of child care, including sleeping, feeding and minor ailments.
The health visitor is happy to advise on any family health problems.
