As part of our Advanced Access program, and in line with the Government’s “Improved Access Scheme” we continue to offer our patients an appointment with a Primary Healthcare Professional (eg a nurse) within 24hrs and with a GP within 48 hours.

Obviously it is not always possible to offer an appointment within these challenging timescales with a particular doctor of your choice as they may be on leave or sick, but we will endeavour to accommodate your requests where possible.

More importantly we encourage patients to attend for planned reviews and periodically check whether they need reminding about them. A timely appointment with the nurse or doctor for review helps to avoid conditions worsening. This means that patients can stay healthier for longer and we can make sure there’s an appointment free when it’s needed.  For more information about managing long-term conditions see Clinical Services.

To continue to maintain this high level of access to our clinicians it is imperative that you inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment so that we can allocate it to another patient.
