You can use our online services to book
appointments, to order repeat prescriptions, and, in time, to view your medical records
and use the online "consultations".
Before you can use these online
services you need to register:
- Complete and return the registration form by one of these methods:
Return the registration form in person; we need to verify your identity prior to
issuing your logon details
- There are two levels of access to the online services. Complete
just the first section of the form if you wish to only book appointments
and/or order repeat prescriptions.
- If you wish to use the online medical record viewer you need to
complete both sections of the form. You also need to read and
understand the
Online Medical Record Viewer information leaflet before
signing the form.
- We will then provide you with your unique patient registration details, which you will need as a first time user,
together with the additional pass phrases if you also choose to use the
medical record viewer.
- Log on to our website and access one of the online services.
- Create your account by following the instructions to choose your own personal passwords – these are for security purposes and should not be disclosed to any other person.
- That’s it! Now you can access the online services: book appointments; check or cancel pre-booked appointments;
view your medical record; use the online "consultations".
Security
Those of you who are familiar with our previous online services
(appointment booking) may be wondering why you now have to register to use
them. The reason is that this new system provides added security which enables us to provide
more online services.
In line with our confidentiality and security policies regarding patient information
and consideration of the security of our patients’ information, all communications with the practice web site are encrypted, using the same high security that major banks use for their internet transactions (128 bit SSL). Only you can see the personal information you enter. The web site is administered at a remote high-security site managed by EMIS, not at the practice, so there is no possibility of unauthorised access.
